Step 1: The Run- The gymnast begins at the end of the runway approximently 82 feet or less away. She builds momentum while running down the runway. About 3-6 feet away from the vault she will hurdle or round-off onto the springboard.
Step 2: Pre-Flight- The time between the springboard and the table. (They must make sure they stay tight)
Step 3: Contact- The Gymnast toches the table and pushes off.
Step 4- Post Flight- Off the table and in the air (when the flips and twists are preformed) distance and hieght are also a factor.
Step 5: Landing- Each Vaults should be properly stuck will no steps.
